So this whole week I've been running around like crazy getting ready for Promissa's line of shows in Boston, MA, launching a brand new online campaign (which has taken longer than planned), launching Promissa's T-shirt line, working on coming bookings and workshop series, while doing radio interviews, approving press releases, being a wife and everything else that's on my plate. Uffff! Yeah that's right! I'm like a rubber band about to snap right?
But then, opportunities like today come up. A chance to educate the people over the airways about Sexual Exploitation in our community and the work of Roxbury Youth Works. Wow! How amazing!
To hear people calling in and asking questions and knowing that we're making a difference in a child's life somewhere by exposing this sickness makes me smile! And it truly makes all the running around worth my while. I'm here to make a difference. To be a change agent. To leave a mark.
So, even though I'm running around crazy, will you join me? Join me in spreading the word about those being a voice for the voiceless? There's a spot for you at the front of the line, and as the radio host said today, it's not a lot of work if we're all doing our part.
My hand's extended out hoping you'll reach back so we can walk this walk together.
Peace,
Milca
