I'm sore, but I'll keep going!

So, I've made a decision to get in better shape this year (me and every other person in the world right?).  I'm eating better, trying to rest more and working out CONSISTENTLY.  As it is expected, my body is aching like nobody's business and the thought of stopping is right away on the forefront of my mind.  "Must protect myself, walk away, nothing good comes from pain, I don't like it!"  Those are the thoughts that flood my mind.  But then, the thought of actually fitting into my favorite jeans without struggle; of feeling healthier and being able to go up a flight of stairs without having to take a water break every 5 seconds, motivates me to go on.

You see, pain sometimes means that an area is being worked out in our lives/body/relationships.  The easy thing to do is run.  I get it!  But if we do, we would be missing the opportunity to experience growth and fabulously looking muscles (physical and spiritual).

So today, I'm making the decision to stick it out!  Weather it means hearing things I don't want to hear, confronting areas in my life or doing an extra set of seat ups.  I'm sticking it out because I want to experience a better ME!

Will you?

Peace,
Milca

  1. Thank you for the reminder. We must always remember that what lies before us is much greater than what might be in front of us right now. All things work...you know the rest!
