The do's and don'ts

So a few weeks ago I got really really sick with a bad cold.  I mean, I was out for the count for a good week or so.  

After I finally felt like I was coming back to life I continued to take my double daily dose of Echinacea and vitamin C.  What I found interesting is that the days I didn't take the pills I felt like I was right at the beginning like when I first started feeling sick.  I also noticed that the times I would go outside and maybe forgot to wear a scarf or didn't bundle up as much, I would start feeling just like I did when I first started feeling sick.  Huh! This taught me a lesson!

Even when I think I have overcome areas of struggle in my life I must constantly keep watch.  There are always things I should do and things I should stop doing in order to outgrow these areas.
Maybe some of the to do's are: Read more, pray more, hang out with other people, take a different route driving to work, delete a number off my cell phone.  Maybe some of the don't's are: Don't go to that website, don't eat that, don't call that person, don't speak that way.  

Each one of us may have a different list.  Nevertheless, let us make a decision today to keep watch!  We've come way to far in our journey to end up back at the beginning.
