Let's talk music

So let's talk music for a second.  Music is "the art or science of combining vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion." 


If I was to paraphrase it I would say music is combining instrumental and/or vocal differences to produce a unified sound.  Wow!

This makes me wonder about my personal ability to be "combined" or to "work together" with other people who may or may not be different than me.  How able am I to lower my own voice so that your voice can be better heard?  Can I tolerate not being the center of attention so that we as a people can shine together?


Let us this Christmas season think of ways in which we could work "together" with others to produce a harmonious sound. As we know, there's no COMMUNITY without UNITY.
