Tip of the Day: Be present!

As some of you already know, I love to work out.  It's quite challenging to stick to it, it would be easier not to, but at the end of the day, nothing is better than the feeling of having given all you had and conquering that mountain.

So what I do is a series of work outs where everyday you do something different (Where are all my P90X junkies?) Anyways, today's workout was YogaX which is waayy harder than just regular Yoga!  The "X" means KILLER MOVES!!!

During these workouts there's always a tip of the day.  "Don't hold your breath", "Know your limit", and so on so forth.

Today, during Yoga, the tip of the day really spoke to me beyond the exercise piece.  It spoke to my life.  The tip was "Be present".  Good one right?  I'm sure like me, you live a fast paced life.  You've watch so many precious moment just slip between your fingers in the blink of an eye.  Have you ever heard people say "My children have grown so fast; where did time go?" or "My life feels like a race".  Exactly! Me too!

You see, I've often been guilty of not enjoying the blessings of today because I'm caught up worrying about the possible lacks of tomorrow.  Isn't that crazy?  But it truly happens.

We must learn to Be present!  Life is so short and for sure, not guaranteed so we must take it all in.

Today, I make the decision to kiss and hug my husband just a little longer.  To walk outside and take in deep breathes and pause to listen to the birds.  To take in all the colors of the spring trees as I drive around town.  To listen, really listen to my loved ones when they're talking to me.  Today, I will be present!  Will you join me?
