Live, Love, Matter!
As we all know, a nation has once again been hit with heartbreaking tragedy. We all witnessed Japan's pain this past Friday as lives were changed forever in the blink of an eye that seemed to last an eternity.
A little over a year before this, Haiti was hit with unmeasurable destruction as well, from some of which they have not yet been able to recover.
This makes me think a lot about the fragility of life and the importance of being present and intentional about it (my life).
To not just go through the motions, but to actually live life to the fullest! As Brendan Burchard encourages us to ask ourselves at the end of each day: (whom I've quoted on earlier postings), Did I live, did I love, did I matter?
These questions can change one's life forever, as they offer a less selfish perspective of life. A perspective so different than the norm today which focuses essentially on taking the most you can out of life and those around you, but giving very litte or nothing back. It's actually about adding value to those around me by loving them and by impacting their lives in any which way I'm called to do so.
So as we continue to keep Japan, Haiti and any other tragedy stricken nation in our thoughts and prayers, let us also think of ways in which we can add value to the world around us. Make a difference. Leave a mark. Be relevant.
