Mama

Last night, Mama, our Grandma, transitioned into Heaven.  She was 93, although she always said she was older, so who knows.  What we do know is how much she loved God and how much she loved us.
Today, I'm amazed to see how much comfort it brings to us to know that Mama is face to face with our Creator.  She wont have pain on her joints anymore, wont need to deal with pinching her finger to check her sugar levels anymore and will no longer be frustrated at the fact that she can't remember who we are.  Today, Mama enjoys a new body, new mind...a new life with Jesus in Heaven.  This makes me smile, as I know that this was not goodbye, but just goodnight.

Mama, thank you for teaching us, for correcting us, for showing us with your life how to love God. Thank you for modeling strength and for always encouraging us to live Godly lives.  You've left a legacy in us.
