Keep your eyes on Him

Last week, on January 13th, my husband and I reached two months of being married.  Wow!  Time flies when you are having fun!  And indeed we are!  It's a beautiful thing!
So this whole weekend I've been reminiscing on my wedding day and the many life lessons that could possibly be hiding in it.
Honestly, the one thing I remember the most, and every bride will probably say the same thing, is walking down the isle to meet my prince.  It was the most powerful, longest, overwhelming, emotional, nerve-racking  and exhilarating walk of my life!  But looking at him and knowing that he was waiting for ME?  Knowing that his eyes were only on ME? Knowing that if my walk felt long, his waiting must have been eternal made it ok.  The fact that I kept my eyes on him allowed me to stay focused on the purpose of the walk.   "If I don't walk, I won't get to him".  It's that simple.
Like the famous and always memorable walk down the isle, there's a walk we all must walk.  The walk of life.  It's a walk that at times can be the most powerful, longest, overwhelming, emotional, nerve-racking  and exhilarating walk.  However, if we keep our eyes on Him - the giver of life, we will surely make it and boy will it be worth it!

So, next time you feel like the walk is too long or too much, be sure to refocus your eyes on Him and you'll make it just fine.

Peace!
