Last night I got my weekly deep tissue massage. The massuese started massaging my upper back and noticed that the tendons were really tight and were not giving into the strokes. She decided to go to my neck just to find out that the source of the problem was a really big knot in my neck. She started pressing deeper and deeper. With every stroke I would inhale and exhale like I did when giving birth to my kids. It was so painful! She would say "hang in there, I need to press until it lets go." I love Martha (that's her name). She kept pressing and working that knot until all of a sudden it gave in. There was release and let me tell you, release feels good.
There are times God is working in an area of our lives and it hurts. But because of His amazing love He keeps pressing deeper and deeper. All I can tell you is that I'm so glad I endured and persevered Martha's pressing deeper into my neck. It feels so good now.
Endure! Persevere God's work in your life because soon there will be release.
