How Do You Do It?

"How do you do it?" I get asked that question all the time when people find out that I am an artist. Most of the time moms ask me that, while we stand on the school yard waiting for our kids to get out of school. I admit, there are days I ask myself that question. The day that my eight year old son has a science project and my seven year old daughter needs to go to tennis practice and most importantly when my husband craves a well Dominican home cooked meal and then after finishing all my duties as wife and mother I need to find within me the creativity to write a song or the energy to get on a red eye flight across the country to perform at a weekend show and be back to resume my wife and mom duties before sunrise Monday morning. How do I do it? Well, let's say that if I don't do it I die. My spirit will die. See?! The reason I try to do it all is because I have been called to MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
No matter how hard or difficult it gets, I will never stop doing what I do because the One Who called rearranged His world to change mine. So I'll do whatever is in my power to make a difference in this world. Will you?
